Ava Protocol, a Web3 infrastructure provider, has partnered with Soneium, a layer-2 blockchain from Sony Block Solutions Labs.
The collaboration will integrate Ava Protocol’s intent-based, no-code automation into the Soneium Spark incubation program, which is designed to support developers and creators.
A news release shared with Cointelegraph said the collaboration will simplify blockchain “for developers and non-technical users alike.”
“With its intelligent, intuitive automation, they can enjoy enhanced privacy, composability, and substantially lower transaction costs.”

Implications for Ava Protocol users
The partnership’s intent-based automation will allow creators and developers to monetize and manage their work more efficiently, minimizing complexity and lowering transaction costs, the release said.
Users can leverage blockchain technology through simpler smart contract execution on Soneium, which is accessible to those with technical and non-technical backgrounds.
The collaboration aligns with Ava Protocol’s broader goal to enable Web3 builders to create effortless, efficient and easy-to-use solutions.

Soneium’s focus on performance
Soneium is designed to provide high-performance, scalable and secure access to decentralized finance, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and other creator economies.
The open-source blockchain aims to serve various needs “across all verticals,” which include recurring payments, NFT updates and support for complex smart contract conditions.
The integration with Ava Protocol will further enhance Soneium’s capabilities “by executing transactions and smart contracts based on predefined conditions.”
“It supports recurring payments, stop-loss orders, and yield harvesting, as well as dynamic NFT updates and minting.”

Considerations and Circle collaboration
Although the collaboration aims to improve the capabilities of both entities, Soneium’s market adoption and scalability remain untested.
Web3 automation’s reliance on predefined conditions may limit its flexibility for future use cases, and its complexity could pose challenges for non-technical users.
Alongside this latest partnership, on Sept. 15 Sony Block Solutions Labs entered a collaboration with Circle to boost the adoption of Circle’s USD Coin (USDC).
